L’Oreal Elvive Dream Lengths Heat Mask-Review

“When you do something noble and beautiful and nobody noticed, do not be sad. For the sun every morning is a beautiful spectacle and yet most of the audience still sleeps.”
– John Lennon

Let me tell you something, I was looking forward to this all week.
This summer my sister told me about this product and that she wants to try it so I bought it for here without trying it myself. When I was visiting her we talked a bit about this so my interest in this mask grew minute by minute. And why did the mask interest me, you wonder? Weeeellllll…..because I’ve never heard of a SELF-HEATING TISSUE CAP before, have you?

L’Oreal Elvive Dream Lengths Heat Mask

What’s this all about:

-balm enriched with vegetal protein & castor oil and leaves the hair feeling nourished
-a tissue cap infused with a self-heating lotion
-for intense care, activated by heat
-for long, damaged hair
-nourished lengths and tips with conditioning ingredients

How to use it:

  1. Open section 1 (intensive balm)
  2. Apply the balm onto hair that has been shampooed, towel-dried and brushed
  3. Open section 2 (tissue cap)
  4. Wrap your hair on top of your head, put the tissue cap on and gently massage your scalp (before putting the tissue cap on, brush your hair to ensure the balm is applied evenly)
  5. Leave the cap on for 10 mins
  6. Remove cap and rinse hair thoroughly

Oh my God, the smell-it smells so gooooood, I am in heaven. Smells like fruity bubble gum. The cap is very oily and has no smell, the amount of balm is enough to cover long hair.

When I put on the cap everything was fine until the oil started to drip down my neck and forehead so make sure you wrap a towel around your shoulder before putting on your cap. The other thing I noticed is that the cap started to heat up, not very hot but pleasantly warm.
When I rinsed it all off my hair the first thing I noticed was the smell.
I know I already get on your nerves with that but I can’t even tell you how good your hair smells after this mask, amazing.Hair is so soft, shiny and easy to comb.
I am in love with this mask, I definitely recommend it.

What do you think about Self-heating tissue cap?

Pumpkin oil DIY

“I would rather sit on a pumpkin, and have it all to myself than be crowded on a velvet cushion.”
― Henry David Thoreau

Do you know how I told you in the last blog that my scalp was itching because of the large amount of dry shampoo? Weeell…. that day I was walking around, scratching like a mad man.

After so much scratching I knew that I shouldn’t put anything aggressive on my scalp and that I needed something soothing, healthy and natural and this means-DIY.

It’s fall, it’s pumpkin season so it would be okay to talk about pumpkin oil. Why pumpkin oil? Well, it’s one of my favorite oils. I like how it smells, it tastes great and I use it in really large quantities.

Kürbis means pumpkin in German

What do hair and pumpkin oil have in common, what do they have to do with each other, you may be wondering? I was surprised by this discovery too.

like I said I use this oil a lot so I did a little research on how healthy it is and I found (to my great surprise) that it is very good for hair.

Pumpkin seed oil

What’s this all about:

-nutty flavor
-is source of omega-3, zinc, high vitamins E content, and phytosterol
-can help nourish your hair by making it soft
-can be used against scalp dryness
-can assist with hair growth

How to use it?

I found the simplest possible recipe-pour some oil over your palms and spread it in circular motions around the scalp, massage well and leave it on for 15-20 minutes. Wash your hair with shampoo and lukewarm water.

A very quick, easy recipe. I easily rinsed it out of my hair and the scalp is not oily (thank God). My scalp no longer itches me. Now I don’t know if it’s because of the oil or the fact that I rinsed the dry shampoo out of my hair but I strongly recommend this method because of the high amount of vitamins in the oil. Put pumpkin oil on the scalp and make yourself a salad with pumpkin oil.

Attack your body with vitamins from the outside and the inside.

A little warning
If you are allergic to pumpkin seeds do not do this method.

Batiste Dry Shampoo-review

“Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.”
-Albert Camus

Yes, people, it’s that time of the month-PMS time. Everything is a disaster and so is my hair. I am at that time when I am on low energy, bad mood, and everything else that comes with PMS.
What bothers me most during this period is my hair which becomes lifeless, oily, just horrible, horrible.

Under normal circumstances, I wash my hair every third day but during this period I must wash it every day.

I think it’s not healthy to wash my hair every day so with that thought I decided to find some dry shampoo, not just any I was looking for the best selling one.

Batiste Dry Shampoo bright &lively

What’s this all about:

-removes oil
-quick refresh
-has a flowery mix of sweet jasmine, soft rose and water blossom, with undertones of peach nectar and juicy melon
-hair looks clean and fresh with added body and texture

How to use:

  • Shake it up
  • hold can 30cm/12in from dry hair and spray into your roots
  • massage Batiste into your hair

As I said at the beginning my goal is not to have to wash my hair every day during this period when my hair is very oily, so I didn’t expect any miracle from this dry shampoo.

I washed my hair before going to bed, in the morning I already noticed that there was a disaster on my head,it was a good time to try Batiste.

I photographed everything so that it could give you an idea of the situation.

Picture number 1you can see the condition of my hair – just bad
Picture number 2-I applied a large amount of spray on my scalp and hair

After the scalp massage, I was pleased with the result, the hair was lighter, the volume was there, and no white powder was visible.

But after an hour some of the texture was gone and I had “sad hair” again.

Picture number 3-an hour later
Picture number 4-applied the spray again, massaged the scalp and made a braid

In the end, I decided to spray it one more time and make a braid and that was the best solution.
Although I had to apply a large amount of spray I cannot say that I was disappointed with the product, I didn’t have to wash my hair that day, and that was the goal.
I just had one problem – the scalp was itching like crazy. I don’t know if it’s because of the large amount of spray or whatnot, but I scratch my scalp all day until I washed my hair.

Did you have problems after using dry shampoo?
Leave a comment I would love to hear your opinion.

All in all, Batiste is not a bad dry shampoo and I give it three stars out of five.

What’s small and smells like summer? It can just be Herbal Essences.
I was planning to buy a completely different mask. I went to the store with a goal and came back with another product.

Interesting thing is that I have never seen an advertisement for this mask or heard about it, I just found it on the shelf, squeezed between other Herbal products. The packaging looks tempting, with the flowers and this beautiful blue color.

What’s this all about:

-repair mask
-specially crafted for damaged hair
-deeply hydrates and nourishes hair
-Multilayered scents of fizzy citrus, exotic spices & creamy vanilla
-paraben-free, colorants-free and paraffin-free
-pH-balanced and safe for color-treated hair

Their site is very interesting. There you can see what other ingredients this mask contains, they go into detail and I am very impressed.

Mask smells like a bowl full of summer flowers. They say it smells like vanilla, but it’s not exactly, It`s a very good combination of ingredients I must admit.
Easy to apply and the texture is not too liquid.
I like this product because after it the hair is silky, easy to comb (which is one of the essential things for me).
I recently dyed my hair and put on this mask afterward it leaves the hair in really good condition.
I didn’t regret buying Herbal.

Neutrogena Visibly Clear® -review

“Skincare is so much more important than makeup. Makeup is for when you’re having fun and going out. But your skin is forever.”
Halima Aden

Color-color is a very big factor why I bought a Neutrogena at all. it’s not that I don’t like Neutrogena, it’s just that there are so many products it’s hard to decide on just one.

So I stood in front of the store shelves for at least 20 minutes and eventually decided to go green, plus I never bought an exfoliator from this manufacturer.

Last time I bought a Nivea scrub and I was not satisfied with it (you can read the review on my blog  NIVEA anti-blemish peeling wash review)

First a little something about the product:

  • tightened pores & mattified skin, providing a flawless-looking complexion
    -visibly reduces shine
-With its exfoliating micro-beads and salicylic acid, it cleanses deep down to unclog pores
    -for visibly refined-looking skin
-provide a lasting matte effect without over-drying the skin
    -Dermatologist tested
Ingredients: PR-014931 Aqua, Cetyl Alcohol, PPG-15 Stearyl Ether, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Glycerin, Polysorbate 60, Salicylic Acid, Steareth-21, Cera Microcristallina, Citrus Aurantifolia Fruit Extract, Citrus Tangerina Extract, Hydrogenated Jojoba Oil, Menthyl Lactate, Propylene Glycol, Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Xanthan Gum, BHT, Tocopherol, Parfum, CI 77289.

Application: Massage onto a wet face once a day and rinse thoroughly.

It is a beautiful greenish color and the first thing you notice is the green micro-beads.

It smells fresh (it smells like spring 🙂 )I don’t even know how to describe it but it smells nice.
It contains a lot of micro-beads and I mean really a nice amount of them. Cleans the pores very nicely and exfoliates perfectly. I am very pleased with how it cleanses and leaves the skin soft, not oily.
Neutrogena made a really good product.

Have you ever tried Neutrogena what do you think about their products?

DIY Banana and Honey Hair mask

Beauty is when you can appreciate yourself. When you love yourself, that’s when you’re most beautiful “ Zoe Kravitz

I don’t know if you have days when your hair looks beautiful, shiny, healthy. You want to walk through the city and tell everyone “look at my hair, look how beautiful it is and it belongs to me”. I have days like that.

But I also have those days when I hate my hair, days when my hair looks like a sad willow.

Now I dye my hair more often so that means that I have those days when it would appear that the hair is lifeless. I need a boost and fast.

In one of the previous posts, I said that I had already tried to put a banana on my hair and that it was not good but I decided to try again because I don’t give up so easily.

Banana-is loaded with vitamins, minerals, and healthy oils that can moisturize and strengthen your hair.

Honey– It has rich antioxidant properties that prevent damage, keeping your scalp and hair healthy, cleans the hair follicles by getting rid of impurities.

Banana and Honey Hair Mask

  • ½ cup (170 g) raw, organic honey
  • 2 ripe bananas

1.Mash or puree 1 to 2 bananas with honey (Make sure that the mixture doesn’t have any lumps because they’ll stick to your hair)

2.Apply the mask to dry hair

3.Cover your hair and leave the mask to sit for 20 minutes

4.Rinse the mask out

This time I mixed bananas in a blender and the mask turned out really good. After twenty minutes I rinsed my hair without any problems (thank goodness the last time I did a banana mask I didn’t mix it well so the banana pieces stayed in my hair for a week). If you have long hair put three bananas.

This is easy to make because only two ingredients are needed. This mask goes into my favorite DIY hair masks.

“Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.”
― Mahatma Gandhi

My hair is quite straight, especially now that it is very long.
when the hair was shorter I could curl it, it looked beautiful and the curls were at least two days old, but now I have to struggle to have curls.
One day I was at a hairdresser and she told me to buy a salty mist, she promised that the hair after that mist would be like when you get out of the sea.

You know how, after you swim in the sea, your hair looks beautiful and has a natural, wild look, that’s what I wanted.

Normally I immediately went looking for that product. I thought I will put a little bit of salt on my hair and it will look beautiful (I know I have a BIG imagination).

The product I chose is

L’Oréal stylista beach wave spray

Gives hair sea-kissed textured beachy look, Silicone-free.
Beachy look with textured hair that lasts up to 24 hours. Scrunch hair when using for extra volume.

How to Use:

1.Shake hair mist spray

2.Spray on dry hair lengths

3. Scrunch hair for beachy waves

You can also do loosely braid hair and blowdry it to add body.

My impressions

The product smells really good, and that’s all I can say positively.

Wellll…… I think the picture speaks a thousand words.
This is not for my hair.

I don’t know if the problem is that my hair is too long or what.
It doesn’t look wavy but it looks messy and by the next day my hair was tangled. I can’t tell you how disappointed I was.

Perhaps this is for the girls who have naturally wavy hair and if so they should write it on the product.

Have you ever tried this ?

Lemon, Banana & Olive Oil Foot Scrub

“Be sure you put your feet in the right place, then stand firm.”
Abraham Lincoln

Our whole body needs pampering from time to time.

I don’t know about you but I always look for face masks, body scrubs, I don’t think much about feet. I apply a lot of cream on my feet and put on socks overnight and that’s it.
Now I decided to find some DIY.

There are so many recipes on the internet and I decided to make this one.

Lemon, banana and olive oil (sea salt) scrub

Lemons are rich in Vitamin C, pectin, flavonoid antioxidants, B-vitamins, potassium, and calcium. Their properties destroy bad bacteria and allow good bacteria to flourish in the body. The vitamin C is great for your skin. It acts as a natural exfoliant, enhances skin renewal, and brighten dark areas.

Banana The high potassium content, vitamins, and natural oils will soften the skin.

Olive oil is loaded with powerful antioxidants, can reduce inflammation. Olive oil contains vitamins A, D, E, and K. Some of these vitamins may be beneficial for the skin.

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 2 tbsp. sea salt
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil

How to make

  • Mash the bananas
  • Add the lemon juice and the rest of the ingredients.
  • Mix it all up
  • Massage the scrub into your feet (leave for about 10-15 minutes)
  • Rinse (you can apply lotion by your choice)

This is a really good recipe. I like the combination of these ingredients.
I even tried brown sugar instead of salt because the sugar is bigger and I get a better scrub.
Do something nice for your feet and make this recipe. I didn’t regret it I think neither will you.

P.s.make sure you are not allergic to the ingredients before use.

Nivea body mousse – review

“Skincare is like dieting. You have to invest time and effort. There is no instant miracle cure.”

Karen Grant

Hello, hello : )
I hope you all had a warm and enjoyable summer.

I was very lazy this summer so while visiting my family I didn’t care much about my skin. After only a few days I realized that it was a very big mistake. I took some time to find some cream or oil or something.

And when I don’t know what to buy I always go back to the NIVEA and what I found was BODY MOUSSE.
I immediately thought – bingo. that’s it.

NIVEA body mousse – nourishing, immediate absorption

Intense moisture serum and almond oil. For dry to very dry skin.

Intensively nourishes for noticeably smoother skin from the first application. Fast-absorbing mousse formula melts into the skin. Fast absorbing,paraben-free.

How to use:

  1. shake well before use
  2. hold up when dosing
  3. Apply daily to the entire body

Of course, I went to their site and read about it:

“For the first time, NIVEA has captured its caring Almond Oil and NIVEA Deep Moisture Serum in a creamy yet light body mousse – providing intensive moisturizing care whilst being so easy to apply and fast-absorbing. For 48 hours deep* moisture with no sticky skin feel. *upper layer of the epidermis.”

It sounds good.

It is easy to squeeze out and you have a really nice foam texture in your hand. Very easy to apply to the skin and smear and absorbs nicely. I was afraid it will be too oily but it wasn’t in fact if you have very dry skin this will not be enough for you because to me this seems to be more for normal skin. The smell is typical for Nivea.

All in all, I’m very happy with the product.

I haven’t found anything negative and will probably use it in the future.

Thumbs up.

“If you are cold, tea will warm you;if you are too heated, it will cool you;If you are depressed, it will cheer you;If you are excited, it will calm you.”

…..and if you are tired relax with good green tea scrub.

I noticed one very interesting scrub. I used a lot of ingredients from the kitchen coconut oil, egg, olive oil, sugar but never ever green tea.
I can’t believe it never occurred to me and especially because we all know how healthy green tea is.
Recipe for this scrub is simple and easy, and I can tell you it’s great.

Green tea is a powerful antibacterial agent for treating acne and unclogging pores. It helps kill systemic bacterial inflammation for smoother, toned skin. It`s full of Vitamin B2 and Vitamin E. Green tea is a wonderful anti-inflammatory that helps soothe blemishes and scars.

Coconut oil has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties.

You will need:

-2 green tea bags
-1 cup white sugar
-½ to ¾ cup of soft or melted coconut oil (You can use more or less depending on how dry or oily you prefer the consistency to be)

Mix all ingredients or mix them in a blender. Store in an airtight container. This is a great exfoliator for your skin.
I am very happy with this scrub because I know I am doing something good for my skin.

When applying this under the shower be careful because coconut oil will make the floor slippery.
