Sunflower

“Look at its shape, with vibrant yellows and oranges, a sunflower can brighten your day…it’s as if it is smiling like a happy face painted on the sun…so if you do only one thing all day, let it be to smile, so you can brighten the day of others around you, just like the sunflower”

Brown Sugar Honey Facial Scrub DIY

“Look after yourself from within, and your beauty will shine through on your skin.” -Shanina Shaik

Today we’re going to talk about brown sugar. Since I like white sugar (yes I know it’s not healthy) I like sweet coffee so I can`t without it.

I tried to replace white sugar with brown but it wasn’t sweet enough so there was a lot of brown sugar left unused.
With everything I’ve found that can be done with this product Facial scrub was the best choice.

A few days ago a very interesting and creative blogger oliveunicorn wrote to me about my avocado post ” I always try to use avocado face masks but then I usually eat it lol “. What is interesting and fun about DIY is that you can make masks and scrubs that are very good for skin and hair and at the same time delicious.

Brown Sugar and Honey Scrub

What’s this all about:

  • super easy to make
  • brown sugar is a great gentle exfoliant
  •  honey is anti-bacterial
  • honey helps the skin retain moisture
  • honey fights both acne and wrinkles
  • work for all skin types.
  • incredibly moisturizing

Ingredients

1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup brown sugar (refined white sugar works too)
1 Tbsp. olive or coconut oil

How to use it?

Mix everything up and apply the mixture to skin and massage in a circular motion. Rinse with warm water. Apply moisturizer.
It’s important to exfoliate both your face and your body year-round.

You can also use combinations because sometimes we don’t have honey at home. If this happens you can use brown sugar with coconut oil.

Impressions

This is a great face scrub. especially in winter, because in the winter the skin requires a little more attention. If you have a lot of brown sugar and you don’t know what to do with it make yourself a really good and very tasty facial scrub.

7th Heaven Dead Sea Mud Pac Face Mask

“The face is the mirror of the mind, and eyes without speaking confess the secrets of the heart.”- St. Jerome

I got this mask from my sister. I kept it for a special occasion because whenever my sisters give me something, I keep it as if it were gold, but since this week was hard I decided to put on this mask.

I have often seen this product on shelves and amazon but now I try it for the first time.

Dead Sea Mud Pack

What’s this all about:

  • hard drying masque
  • cleanses pores
  • for combination and oily skin
  • draw out impurities
  • open blocked pores
  • leaves clean, soft skin

“We`re vegetarian and animals are our friends, that`s why we don`t bash bunnies or add bits of animals”

How to use

  1. thoroughly cleanse face
  2. massage evenly over face with fingertips
  3. relax and leave on for 15-20 minutes
  4. rinse with water

Impressions

The packaging is nice and colorful, it looks really tempting. The mask is thick, it`s easy to apply on the face. The mask is pastel turquoise color. It smells a bit like shaving foam but it’s ok to me.

I really like that the mask doesn’t drip, you don’t have to worry that it will leave traces as you walk around your home. I recommend this product to everyone, it’s easy to use and apply and thanks to my sister for buying this.

Cocoa & Avocado Face Mask DIY

“Beauty means expression and being your most authentic self.”-Paloma Elsesser

Listen up people Cocoa and Avocado. Again with avocado, why? Because it is very, very healthy. Why cocoa? Because it’s fun.
I found this recipe recently and I was thrilled. I’ve never put cocoa on my face before. Are you?

We really shouldn’t be surprised by this cocoa mask because in the old day’s women used various things for beauty. Egyptian women used honey and milk masks and they also took milk baths. In Ancient Greece, they used fresh berries with milk. Women in the Renaissance used oatmeal boiled in vinegar to treat pimples (in my opinion this is disgusting).

Let’s see what makes this mask so special.

Cocoa and avocado mask

What’s this all about:

  •  leave skin super soft and glowing
  • moisturizing face mask
  •  soothing
  • avocado penetrate the skin and hydrate dry, parched skin
  • cocoa powder helps repair skin cells and neutralize free radicals

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 ripe avocado
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp honey

How to use:

  1. mash the avocado until smooth
  2. add in cocoa powder and honey and mix well
  3. apply to a clean face and massage in slow circular motions
  4. leave on for 30 minutes
  5. rinse with lukewarm water

Impressions

First and foremost this is a lot of fun. The mask is a nice chocolate color and you really feel like you’ve put on a really expensive mask. Winter and cold are coming and this mask is ideal for cold days when the skin is sensitive and dry .

Best of all it is a very tasty mask so feel free to grab a spoon and try it.

P.S.if you are allergic to these ingredients do not try the recipe.

L ‘Oréal Paris Color Riche Lipstick-review

“It’s quite nice to have a bit more color on the lips during wintertime. And it’s festive, isn’t it?”-Lara Stone

I’m always on the lookout for new colors. I took the opportunity while the husband was ordering something for himself, and I quickly added some of my things to the basket. The conversation went something like this: Him-“what do you want?” Me-“just looking at something”(as I was saying it, I had already packed my stuff in the basket). Him (shakes his head)-“I have to admit you’re fast”.

I bought the lipstick in two colors- 401 Fuschia Drama (it’s my favorite color) and 100 Mezzo Pink.

L ‘Oréal Paris Lipstick

  • a new generation of lipstick
  • richer than a regular lipstick
  • shinier than a gloss and smoother than a balm
  • color infused in light for hydrated lip perfection
  • the formula combines 3 types of oils for soft lips with intense, shiny color

401 Fuschia Drama

I already said this is my favorite color so I was really looking forward to this lipstick. It is very thick, and the color is very intense. It lasts really long on the lips, does not stick. It has a kind of mild but nice smell.

I am very pleased with this lipstick, also the lips remain soft. During the day I often bite my lips and eat every lipstick I put on, but this one stays on the lips for a long time, and when the shine disappears the color is still visible.
I highly recommend this product. I was not disappointed.

100 Mezzo Pink

Well, this lipstick is hmmmmm…how do I explain it. I was expecting a stronger pink color, more intense and what I got was just not (for my taste) good enough. Maybe some of you like a softer pink color lipstick, but I don’t.(actually not so much that I don’t like soft pink but I expected more from this lipstick.)

You can see in the first picture how the lipstick Fuschia is pigmented, beautiful and shiny.

And Mezzo Pink it`s barely visible, the shine is there but the pigment is weak.

Conclusion

All in all, I’m not disappointed. I got one beautiful lipstick that stands out, and another that I can put on when I want a more natural look.

Which one do you like?

Avocado and Oat facial mask

“Smile. It instantly lifts the face, and it just lights up the room.”
Christie Brinkley

Avocado has become very popular lately and I understand why I read daily about how healthy it is. I remember the first time I tried avocado, oh man…that was interesting. It looked so delicious I expected so much.
When I finally tried it I was surprised at how buttery it tasted. Although I didn’t like the taste, I often buy it because of the vitamins it contains.

But what I really like is oatmeal.
I almost always have those two foods in the house, so I was wondering if there is a recipe where these two things go together and I found something.

Avocado and Oat facial mask

What’s this all about:

  • will hydrate and calm dry or sensitive skin
  •  gently exfoliating too
  • oatmeal balances and calms reactive, red and sensitive skin
  • moisturizing the skin
  • reducing the appearance of wrinkles
  • exfoliating the skin and decreasing oil on the face
  • moisturize dry skin

Ingredients

  • 1 avocado
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • ¼ cup uncooked oatmeal flakes

How to make:

  1. Blend avocado, honey, and oatmeal
  2. Apply a medium layer to your face
  3. Leave it for 10-15 minutes
  4. After 10-15 minutes use gentle circular motions to scrub your face
  5. rinse your face with lukewarm water

Something extra: avocado-is rich in omega-3 fatty acids and other antioxidants, as well as vitamins A, B, K, and E. honey-full of antioxidants, it is great for slowing down aging. oatsoatmeal can help with UV damage.

Impressions

Very healthy face mask. Cleans and nourishes the skin very nicely. I like that the recipe is not complicated.

These ingredients are extremely healthy and with this mask, you will do something good for yourself and your face.

What do you think about avocado?

NOTE:If you are allergic to any of the ingredients in this mask – do not use this mask.

Garnier® Hydra Bomb Tissue Mask

“Keep your face always toward the sunshine – and shadows will fall behind you. “
-Walt Whitman

let’s be honest I bought this mask because it’s in nice packaging. Yes, I am the person who judges the book by its cover. If it doesn’t have nice tempting colors I probably won’t even notice it. I know its not a nice trait and not a good way to choose anything but we all have our way of choosing a product.

Before bedtime we all have our rituals but is it time to insert in our ritual a Hydra bomb tissue mask? Is it time-consuming? is it useful? Let’s see.

Impressions

Garnier did a really good job. The product has a very pleasant fresh smell which is not too intense. When you remove the mask from the bag it is richly soaked with gel.

This week I was pretty sick so this treatment came in handy.
After an exhausting week, this mask gave me a refreshment, just what I needed and for that reason I warmly recommend it.

Cucumber Milk Face Mask DIY

“The eyes are one of the most powerful tools a woman can have. With one look, she can relay the most intimate message. After the connection is made, words cease to exist.”    Jennifer Salaiz

I love face masks, they calm me down and when I put them on, I close my eyes, its a moment just for me. A moment that allows me to relax and enjoy the moment. Everything else can wait, it’s just me and my face mask (and coffee, I love loooovvveee coffee).

Last week I couldn’t sleep at all. I would wake up in the middle of the night and that’s it. Sleep problems leave a mark on your face like dark circles or puffy eyes.

When I saw my face in the morning after another sleepless night, I knew it was time for a face mask.

This time I chose nothing complicated, two great ingredients, you can easily find them in the store and they are not expensive- MILK and CUCUMBER.

Milk and cucumber face mask

What’s this all about:

Milk-lauric acid and nutrients present in milk calm your swollen eyes
-reduces the water retention around the eyes
-produces a cooling effect

Cucumber-controls puffiness
-Reduces Dark Circles, presence of antioxidants and silica in cucumber can help slow down dark circles
-helps in hydrating your eyes and the skin around
                   - helps in toning down under-eye bags

How to make:

  • One small cucumber
  • One tablespoon milk

How to use:

  • blend the cucumber and the milk into a thick paste
  • apply the mask onto your face
  • massage under your eyes
  • live it on for 30 minutes
  • wash off the mask with lukewarm water

A little advice- leave the mixture in the refrigerator for ten minutes, cold will calm puffiness around the eyes.

This mask is very good and practical. Not only does it reduce the puffiness of your face, but in those 30 minutes, you will enjoy the fresh scent of cucumber. If you are tired, or just want to make a small home spa day make yourself a mask of cucumber and milk and enjoy 30 minutes in peace. Let those minutes be just for you and your mind.
Your face needs it, you need it everyone needs a day for themselves and relaxation. In any case, I felt better.

How do you relax? Leave a comment.

Just one more thing if you are allergic to milk or cucumber do not use this mask.
