Lemon, Banana & Olive Oil Foot Scrub — September 17, 2019

Lemon, Banana & Olive Oil Foot Scrub

“Be sure you put your feet in the right place, then stand firm.”
Abraham Lincoln

Our whole body needs pampering from time to time.

I don’t know about you but I always look for face masks, body scrubs, I don’t think much about feet. I apply a lot of cream on my feet and put on socks overnight and that’s it.
Now I decided to find some DIY.

There are so many recipes on the internet and I decided to make this one.

Lemon, banana and olive oil (sea salt) scrub

Lemons are rich in Vitamin C, pectin, flavonoid antioxidants, B-vitamins, potassium, and calcium. Their properties destroy bad bacteria and allow good bacteria to flourish in the body. The vitamin C is great for your skin. It acts as a natural exfoliant, enhances skin renewal, and brighten dark areas.

Banana The high potassium content, vitamins, and natural oils will soften the skin.

Olive oil is loaded with powerful antioxidants, can reduce inflammation. Olive oil contains vitamins A, D, E, and K. Some of these vitamins may be beneficial for the skin.

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 2 tbsp. sea salt
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil

How to make

  • Mash the bananas
  • Add the lemon juice and the rest of the ingredients.
  • Mix it all up
  • Massage the scrub into your feet (leave for about 10-15 minutes)
  • Rinse (you can apply lotion by your choice)

This is a really good recipe. I like the combination of these ingredients.
I even tried brown sugar instead of salt because the sugar is bigger and I get a better scrub.
Do something nice for your feet and make this recipe. I didn’t regret it I think neither will you.

P.s.make sure you are not allergic to the ingredients before use.

Nivea body mousse – review — September 13, 2019

Nivea body mousse – review

“Skincare is like dieting. You have to invest time and effort. There is no instant miracle cure.”

Karen Grant

Hello, hello : )
I hope you all had a warm and enjoyable summer.

I was very lazy this summer so while visiting my family I didn’t care much about my skin. After only a few days I realized that it was a very big mistake. I took some time to find some cream or oil or something.

And when I don’t know what to buy I always go back to the NIVEA and what I found was BODY MOUSSE.
I immediately thought – bingo. that’s it.

NIVEA body mousse – nourishing, immediate absorption

Intense moisture serum and almond oil. For dry to very dry skin.

Intensively nourishes for noticeably smoother skin from the first application. Fast-absorbing mousse formula melts into the skin. Fast absorbing,paraben-free.

How to use:

  1. shake well before use
  2. hold up when dosing
  3. Apply daily to the entire body

Of course, I went to their site and read about it:

“For the first time, NIVEA has captured its caring Almond Oil and NIVEA Deep Moisture Serum in a creamy yet light body mousse – providing intensive moisturizing care whilst being so easy to apply and fast-absorbing. For 48 hours deep* moisture with no sticky skin feel. *upper layer of the epidermis.”

It sounds good.

It is easy to squeeze out and you have a really nice foam texture in your hand. Very easy to apply to the skin and smear and absorbs nicely. I was afraid it will be too oily but it wasn’t in fact if you have very dry skin this will not be enough for you because to me this seems to be more for normal skin. The smell is typical for Nivea.

All in all, I’m very happy with the product.

I haven’t found anything negative and will probably use it in the future.

Thumbs up.

DIY GREEN TEA SCRUB — September 9, 2019

“If you are cold, tea will warm you;if you are too heated, it will cool you;If you are depressed, it will cheer you;If you are excited, it will calm you.”

― William Ewart Gladstone

…..and if you are tired relax with good green tea scrub.

I noticed one very interesting scrub. I used a lot of ingredients from the kitchen coconut oil, egg, olive oil, sugar but never ever green tea.
I can’t believe it never occurred to me and especially because we all know how healthy green tea is.
Recipe for this scrub is simple and easy, and I can tell you it’s great.

Green tea is a powerful antibacterial agent for treating acne and unclogging pores. It helps kill systemic bacterial inflammation for smoother, toned skin. It`s full of Vitamin B2 and Vitamin E. Green tea is a wonderful anti-inflammatory that helps soothe blemishes and scars.

Coconut oil has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties.

You will need:

-2 green tea bags
-1 cup white sugar
-½ to ¾ cup of soft or melted coconut oil (You can use more or less depending on how dry or oily you prefer the consistency to be)

Mix all ingredients or mix them in a blender. Store in an airtight container. This is a great exfoliator for your skin.
I am very happy with this scrub because I know I am doing something good for my skin.

When applying this under the shower be careful because coconut oil will make the floor slippery.

DIY Egg and Olive oil hair mask — August 13, 2019

DIY Egg and Olive oil hair mask

“You can never know what you are fully made of until you start to do the things that fear you the most.”

― Edmond Mbiaka

They are good for breakfast great for lunch and dinner but there is something else they are good for- DIY HAIR MASKS.
Yes, people today we will put the eggs on our heads.

I read a lot of recipes for this mask but I chose the one that has 2 ingredients. Why do I only want 2 ingredients? Weeell…let’s be honest I had these ingredients in the kitchen.

The egg-egg yolk is packed with nutrition and proteins, such as biotin, folate, vitamin A, and vitamin D. The yolk may be especially useful to moisturize hair that appears dry.

Olive oil-Olive oil could strengthen hair by preserving its moisture and fighting fungi, bacteria and improving the blood circulation.

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil

If you have oily hair

1.if you have oily scalp egg yolks will be too rich for your hair so you will only need egg whites. Egg whites remove unwanted oils from hair, leaving it shiny and soft.

2. Whisk the whites with olive oil. Pour the olive oil into the bowl with the egg whites and whisk until the mixture is smooth and creamy.

(If your hair is very thick or long, add extra olive oil or an extra egg white.)

3.Apply the mixture to damp hair

4. Let the mask soak in for 20 minutes.

5. Shampoo your hair-use cool or lukewarm water.

If you have Dry Hair

  1. For this mask you only need yolk.
  2. Whisk the yolks with olive oil until the mixture is smooth and creamy. (if your hair is very long add extra olive oil or yolk)
  3. Apply the mixture to damp hair.
  4. Let the mask soak in for 20 minutes.
  5. Shampoo your hair with cool or lukewarm water (you don’t want to cook an egg on your head : ) )

Using egg yolk for your hair is a fairly low-risk treatment but if you have an egg allergy, don’t use it on your head.

L’ORÉAL PARIS ELVITAL Dream length-review — August 9, 2019

L’ORÉAL PARIS ELVITAL Dream length-review

“People always ask me how long it takes to do my hair. I don’t know, I’m never there.”

― Dolly Parton

Hang on……stop…..what happened? Did I just hear that something came out that saves the hair ends?

Let’s start from the beginning.

I have long hair and we all know that hair is only beautiful if it is healthy. Last year I wanted to lighten my hair and that’s what I got but with lighter hair, I also got dry damaged hair.

Now after a year and after lots of masks, products, DIY recipes, my hair is healthy again and I want it to stay that way.

Today’s product was recommended by my sister she said I had to try it.

ELVITAL Dream length

Elvital Dream Length, enriched with a cocktail of Keratin, Vitamins and Castor Oil.

The formula helps to reduce the appearance of split ends and reduce breakage from brushing.

The formula, specially developed for long hair, repairs hair damage for up to one year.
It strengthens it, prevents further damage and moisturizes shine to the tips. Save yourself the barber visit – and save your last 3 inches!

The leave-in hair conditioner for long, damaged hair maintains and strengthens the hair to the tips and protects against heat.
Use on wet or dry hair – without rinsing.

Proteins-prevent hair damage, ensure that the moisture can be better stored in the hair.
Castor oil -is moisturizing, makes the hair supple and makes it shine.

When I read “without rinsing” my first thought was uffff oily hair, but I was wrong it`s not oily at all.

The smell is wonderful. Sister told me that this product smells nice but I did not expect to be so nice.

First time I put too much on my hair (of course), the second time I put the normal amount and it’s great, hair is shiny,it`s not sticky, best of all, it protects the hair from heat. As for the split ends, I don’t know what to say I guess time will tell.

I really like this product.

DIY Lip scrub-sugar,honey and lemon — August 6, 2019

DIY Lip scrub-sugar,honey and lemon

If life hands you lemons, make lemonade! Words to live by, especially when you kept in mind that the only way to make them into lemonade was to squeeze the hell out of them.”

― Stephen King, End of Watch

Lemon is a food item with probably the longest list of positive effects on our health. I always make sure that I have a couple of lemons in the house, you never know when you’ll need it.

Lemons are full of vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients, and antioxidants, high in vitamin C.

In the sea of DIY recipes, I found one for lips. It’s interesting how often I do body scrubs, hair masks, but I’ve never had one for my lips.
I was looking for ingredients that we all have at home or that are available to everyone.

This lip scrub is an effective way to exfoliate the lips, it’s easy to make and I must admit it tastes good.

-white sugar or brown sugar

Put sugar in a bowl and add few drops of lemon, mix it well then add few drops of honey. Take a small amount on your finger and gently massage the mixture, in circular motions, on your lips.

This scrub will gently exfoliate the dead skin cells, honey helps keep the exfoliated lips hydrated and healthy. Lemon is an effective way to undo the sun damage on your lips and lighten them naturally.

(Whenever you are trying out DIY recipes please do a patch test on your skin first to ensure that you are not allergic to any product and that the mixture suits your skin).

Mane ´n tail

I have already talked about this product. The ORIGINAL horse to human crossover shampoo that helps to maintain and achieve fuller, stronger, longer, healthier-looking hair.

I am very happy with this shampoo. My hair is shinier, easy to untangle, it has volume and it`s not oily.
